The Stone House at Stirling Ridge was the perfect place for a classic wedding of Red and Black. Daniella and Jonathan are such a sweet couple. Thinking back on their engagement, we spent the day in Central Park in beautiful Fall weather. It was a slightly hotter day this August, but just as romantic as the first time we met them. These two have the kindest hearts and sweetest smiles. We love that she is a teacher with a love for red bling and he is a police officer in uniform. We arrived and the girls were bustling around with makeup, music and hair in full swing. We were so happy to see all of the amazing details she had brought for us to incorporate in her photos. I think this was the first time for red sequin shoes and definitely a first for REAL handcuffs! The red really popped against the black and white details. We loved these classic wedding colors with a little bit of pizzaz! Jonathan was a few doors down getting ready with his guys. He was quiet as he prepared for the big day. It would be only a few hours until he saw Daniella for the first time at the wedding venue. The immediate family and wedding party watched from afar as they saw each other for the first time. Braving the New Jersey summer heat, Daniella and Jonathan met in the garden and immediately the fun began.
The ceremony was tucked on the side of the venue with light splashing in as all of their family and closest friends witnessed their wedding. We loved the special readings and big laughs we heard from everyone. It was a light hearted and beautiful ceremony. I think we all shed a tear when they did a knot ceremony and then laid purple roses on top. Jonathan’s mom had taught him about all the different colors of roses as a child and they incorporated the purple roses to represent “Falling in Love”. The “I do’s” were said, sealed with a kiss and the party would begin! Cocktail was amazing- so much food to choose from! We snuck the wedding party out for some fun photos before we all decided to head inside and eat! Their red dresses and white roses were so gorgeous and flowing. The guys looked handsome in their black and white as well. Such a classy group of gorgeous people. Something kind of funny happened during our time with the wedding party that I have to mention. The flower girl had done such a great job all day, but by this time the waiting game and the heat were taking a toll on her. As she started to melt slowly into the grass while everyone was encouraging her to stand up and smile, I remembered I usually have candy in my bag. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any this time. I did have a $1 bill. One glance at the money and she was ready to go! I guess I better restock my candy stash or I’ll go broke!
The reception was sentimental with beautiful speeches and well wishes. The dance floor was never empty and there wasn’t a shy person in the room. One of our favorite parts of the party was the outdoor space. There was a S’mores fire pit where you could roast your marshmallow on real sticks! Delicious and fun! We truly loved spending the day with everyone. It was a beautiful day for the happy couple and their families. We packed up and got ready to head home when to our surprise………Wait for it!!! A food truck was outside giving free breakfast sandwiches and water bottles. Are you kidding? Y E S ! Our cameras were already packed by then, but we just want to say- best surprise EVER.
Cheers to our sweet couple. Loved your wedding day and we love you both! Congrats and it will be fun to watch your lives grow together!
xx
