Crystal Springs Resort in the fall is one of the most gorgeous places you could be in New Jersey. It was especially gorgeous for Kelsy and Steve’s wedding day. Blue skies, cool temperatures and the warm sun were the perfect combination for a beautiful wedding day. The trees were in their peak season for color and in every direction you looked- it was GORGEOUS. Speaking of gorgeous, can we just stop and take a moment to say how beautiful Kelsy looked in her wedding gown? From the minute she put that dress on, she was floating around like a gorgeous porcelain doll. The deep purple, orange, yellow and red florals were absolutely color perfect. These were some of our favorite bouquets of the year. With fall in full swing, the trees in full color and the girls in a gorgeous wine colored dresses…it was the perfect color combination all around. The girls were very calm and the vibe was very chill as everyone got ready for the big day. Kelsy is such a sweet soul and was smiling as she whisked around the room getting ready. She was completely ready to do this! All of her hard work and planning had come together beautifully and it was her time to shine. She shared a sweet moment with her mom after putting on her gown. Then around the corner came the flower girl with a penny in her hand. This was a penny for good luck and she was very excited to hide it in Kelsy’s shoe. After a few attempts, the veil made it into Kelsy’s hair and she was ready to do her final touch ups and head downstairs to see Steve for the first time. Down the hall, Steve was hanging out with his friends as they enjoyed the view from the patio. The guys were sporting the deep wine color vests and grey suits. Again, the color choices were on point! We aren’t sure if it was nerves or lack of practice, but Steve was struggling to tie his neck tie. It took so many times that the guys were all making bets on how many times it would take him before he got it right! HA! Good times were had and Steve headed out to go and see his lovely bride.
Kelsy made her way outdoors where Steve was enjoying the view of the multi-colored mountains. When he turned around to see her for the first time his face lit up like Christmas. Immediately, Kelsy got emotional and it was as if we all disappeared it was just them by themselves taking each other in. Unannounced to the happy couple, their family and friends were watching around the corner with smiles and tears. It was such a special moment. We then hiked across the parking lot to the top of a putting green where the backdrop would be the gorgeous fall colored mountains. It really couldn’t get more gorgeous than this. What a fantastic wedding party! The girls dresses moved so beautifully in the wind and the grey shawl was the perfect detail to keep them warm in the crisp fall air. This was a fairly calm group for a change! Very sweet and willing to do whatever it took to help Kelsy and Steve have the best day ever. The girls made their way in to touch up before the ceremony and the guys made their way to the driving range. I just happened to have Kelsy’s bouquet in my hand when I headed out with Jeffrey and the guys. They were all very excited to put on their matching white Nike’s and drive some golf balls into the great unknown. The laces on the Nike’s were so perfectly done and with great style. We were soon informed that this was Steve’s shoe lace OCD. This is the way shoes were to be tied- perfect. The guys all agreed that this was the best idea ever. Warming up on the driving range before the ceremony was just plain FUN! We may have put the flowers down for a fun shot to make it look like Steve was going to drive it across the sky and over the hill. It was all in good fun though…and made for a funny photo of his brother!
The ceremony was full of sun and gorgeous florals. The readings were great reminders to us all about love and marriage and what it takes to have longevity. Surrounded by the people they love the most, finally Steve and Kelsy tied the knot! After sealing it with a kiss, we all jumped in golf carts and made our way into the unknown. Literally- the unknown. We thought we would take a “shortcut” and make our way into the golden hour sun. With our amazing videographer friend, Tim, holding on for his life we flew around corners chasing the light. And we got lost. Super lost!! The sun was falling and it was a race against time. Finally, we made a quick decision to drive through someones yard and park in the back and run towards the golf course!!! It was the most gorgeous view, the sun was perfect and we made it just in time. Thank you Kelsy and Steve for dealing with our crazy antics! After heading indoors we were greeted with the most gorgeous ballroom. The colors were vibrant and warm as they invited us in with the sweet feeling of Fall. The florals were beyond gorgeous as they stood tall on the tables. The golden leaves were the perfect touches on the stationary and menus. Each table was adorned with the most gorgeous handmade pumpkins. They had taken the stems off of real pumpkins and beautifully crafted them together with velvet, decorative beads and broaches. This was hands down one of the most unique and fabulous decor ideas! Stunning! Each place setting was given two fall flavored macaroons. Kelsy is a girl after my own heart! Delicious. The party was intense and full of hands in the air type singing. The band was incredible and never let the dance floor go stale. What a fantastic celebration of two amazing people.
Kesly and Steve, we are so honored to have been part of your gorgeous day! We are even more excited to be a part of your lives. Congrats and cheers to the many adventures that await you both!
xx,
Leaha + Jeffrey
