The bluest of skies. The bluest of waters. And it all came together with a gorgeous blue nautical themed wedding for Ashley and Michael. The Rumson Country Club at Riverside was the perfect backdrop for this fun loving couple. Ashley has a keen sense of style. Classy, luxurious and great attention to detail. We had the best time hanging out in her family’s home in Red Bank. After hair and makeup finished, we headed up the stairs where Ashley and Michael’s newest addition to the family was waiting upstairs patiently. Their rescue pup, Zoe! She was laying on the bed overseeing things as Ashley began to get ready for her big day. We can’t say enough about Ashley’s sense of style and details. Her shoes were jaw dropping! I think I could have shot those shoes, personally, for hours. And the beaded purse with the coordinates where they met…just amazing. The stationary really brought the theme together with the calligraphy, stripes, and nautical blue. There is a funny moment that sticks out to us while she was getting ready. Ashley slipped her dress on and thought that was it! Done! Oh boy, she didn’t realize that the buttons on her dress were the fancy buttons that needed the hook! AH! And it just so happened to be 50 buttons, or so! The best wedding coordinator on the planet to the rescue! Kelly was a Godsend then and for the rest of the day. So grateful for her hard work and for helping make the day seamless for the newlyweds. Ashley and her mom were escorted to the venue in a gorgeous Bentley where she would see Michael for the first time.

You can see in the photos how blue the sky and water was. It was the clearest day and the just enough wind to make her cathedral veil create epic photos. We always crack up when it comes to veils. They are gorgeous and we highly recommend them, but they are kind of a pain to deal with on the actual wedding day. As you can see from the photos, it was totally worth it! We enjoyed the sunshine as Michael saw Ashley for the first time. He was decked out in a gray suit and ready to see his fiance. His face was priceless when he turned around the first time. Gah, these two are just dreamy and have a heart of gold. We are so excited for them! The wedding party was a great extension of how cool the couple was. They were down for our crazy ideas even when they were being pelted by the rays of the unforgiving sun. For that, thank you! The ceremony was set overlooking the water and the florals were out of this world. Katydid does a fantastic job and the florals really took the space to a more luxurious level. The celebration followed immediately after the ceremony with good food and great music. Ashley and Michael were great to leave the action for a few minutes to make epic photos around the property. The pool awesome during the day and even more rad after dark. The celebration was pretty spectacular. The live drums and saxophone really helped pump the party up and the dancing was off the chain. (Did I say that?) The day couldn’t have gone any better.
