The Palace at Somerset Wedding :: Renee + Jason

Jason and Renee picked the gorgeous Palace at Somerset to celebrate with all of their closest family and friends. They also picked the one day in Spring where mother nature said it would be close to 100 degrees! The sun was as hot as their love and it was a magical day full of sunshine and love. Renee and Jason have become great friends over the last year since their engagement session. We were very much looking forward to celebrating all day with them. As soon as we opened the hotel door, smiles and hugs commenced from everyone in the room. It felt like we were a part of the family. 🙂 Renee and the girls were dancing and bobbing around the room popping bottles of champagne right before she got into her dress while 90’s hip-hop blasted through the stereo. There isn’t anything cooler than a bride getting dressed to Notorious B.I.G.! We were very excited to head to the church where Jason would see Renee for the first time. Renee totally warned us that Jason would get super emotional, but I don’t think she took into account that they ALL would! After the big I do’s, the couple exited the church in grand style with bubbles. The sun was out and the heat was turned all the way up as we went across the street to a carnival the church was sponsoring. The pastor walked us across and we got permission to shoot on the grounds before it would open! How rad!! That was definitely a surprise highlight for all of us. We then headed to the park for more portraits…battling the blazing sun. There was not stopping the excitement and energy of this wedding party. They were a huge ball of awesome! We finally arrived at The Palace where the party would go down. This place is gorgeous and the staff is incredible! All we can say about the dancefloor is- HOT HOT HOT!!!! We can confidently say that the guests left all of their moves on the dancefloor. What a fun night and incredible people.
