We love a road trip around here! And who doesn’t like going to Austin? And it makes it even more exciting when its for an amazing couple. It was just a few months ago that we were in Austin to shoot their awesome engagement session.

There were some challenges on this day. I can’t lie. The getting ready location was 40 minutes away from the ceremony and the ceremony was 30 minutes away from the reception…on the famous 6th street in Austin. But I will say, having the down time to drive and clear my mind was kind of nice. Chasing the sun was not so much. So I had to come up with a new plan. The bride was totally down  with putting her gown on early and heading down the road from her house where I spotted this gorgeous tree filled road. It was stunning. Sometimes flying by the seat of your pants just works. It also is helpful when your bride doesn’t mind climbing over barbed wire fences and tracking through fields 🙂 Thankfully I have the best brides in the world. They are down for anything and totally trust me. I could say it a thousand times again- I am a lucky gal.

We were chasing the sun as we headed through the hills of Austin. The Chapel Dulcinea was absolutely stunning. The most gorgeous view of Austin I have ever seen. The sun fell behind the hills as the bride and groom were ready to marry. It was an intimate candle lit ceremony filled with family and friends. My favorite part had to be when the couple rang the bell to seal their vows. So sweet! We then headed for a small trip to downtown and hit 6th street’s Parkside and had a beautiful reception filled with 90’s acoustic tunes. My personal favorite!

What a fabulous day and a fabulous couple. Congrats to you both and we can’t wait to see where life brings you.
