- Engagement
It was a sunny, warm morning in Chelsea when I met up with Kerri and Ryan at The Standard Hotel for a pre-game drink. We soaked in the last bit of air conditioning before we hit the streets of NYC. Lots of planning and logistics went into this engagement shoot so that we could have their cute pup come along for some photos. A huge shout out to Kerri’s mom, Mary, for taking part of her day off to help with Gizmo. These two were troopers as we fought against the harsh, hot sun at the top of The High Line. Ryan is a firefighter close to where they live in the Bronx. I kept thinking to myself, “How in the world do firemen do it?”. I have a huge amount of respect for him especially thinking about all of the layers they wear when fighting fires in this heat. Whew, so much respect! About halfway through the session, we split up so that we could meet up and grab Gizmo for the end of the shoot. Kerri and I got to sit in the air conditioning over a shared slice of pizza and a tall glass of water. When Ryan got back, we jumped in the car and headed towards the pier overlooking the Hudson. Gizmo was ready for his first photo shoot and couldn’t be any cuter with his blue bowtie. The breeze felt amazing, the views were fabulous and these three couldn’t be any cuter. What a fun day!
We are so excited for these two lovebirds as they get ready to start the great adventure of their lives! Congrats, guys!
