I remember the first time we visited the Jersey Shore when we moved up from Texas. We were informed the best place to visit would be Point Pleasant Beach. The infamous Jersey Shore was on the mend from Superstorm Sandy, but was filled with children and the smell of salt in the air. So it is pretty certain that we were very excited when we learned we would be headed back to the shore to celebrate with Emily and Don. Their wedding festivities all took place in Point Pleasant while staying true to the beachy theme. The were both in beautiful beach houses right across the street from the sandy shore as they got ready with their favorite people in life. The hair and makeup team were hard at work on the beautiful ladies as the rain started to creep into the forecast leaving the skies gray. Emily forgot no detail. Everything was perfectly placed, thought out, and beautifully arranged. The girls decided to pop a bottle of champagne while they were still in their silky robes before getting dressed. The anticipation of the cork popping was one of the most fun moments of the day. As soon as it popped, a loud cheer roared as the girls prepared for a CHEERS! The guys were down the street getting ready and having the best time. Jeff said everyone was drinking the best of the best and laughter filled the house. The pool table was a gathering place for the guys as they were getting ready together and a toast took place in a perfectly framed room with the coolest green wallpaper. Soon it would be time for Emily and Don to see each other for the first time at the end of the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and full of so many emotions. The ceremony was partly Catholic and part Ukranian, and it was stunning. The rain was still not giving way, but the celebration continued on! Black and white umbrellas popped open and bubbles filled the air!
Everyone loaded the beautiful white trolley and headed to Clark’s Landing Yacht Club where the celebration would continue through the night. The rain was holding off just long enough for us to sneak in photos on the dock overlooking the water. We were SO grateful. Emily’s eye for details continued throughout the reception with perfectly placed florals and gorgeous beach inspired touches. We loved that she gave each guest an ornament for their gift. How sweet! Emily and Don decided on an incredibly hard choreographed dance. I remember sitting in the kitchen watching them rehearse the moves while counting their steps. They were nervous, excited, and you could hear the guests cheering through the wall. When the doors opened and the lights flashed, they confidently hit that dance floor and nailed it!! We were even more excited that our ULTIMATE favorite band was playing. The Rhythm Band is hands down one of the most energetic and fun large bands in the tri-state area. The dance floor is NEVER…I repeat…NEVER empty. As you can probably see from the photos- it was an epic night.
WOW, we are just so honored we were able to celebrate this gorgeous day with Emily and Don. Congrats to the beautiful couple and we look forward to many more memories in the future! Cheers!
