As a photographer, it is important to me to not only deliver amazing photographs, but to develop amazing relationships.

Sometimes I forget I am even working. There is no amount of sweat or hours that discourages me from loving every minute of it. Although it’s not the easiest job in the world–its the best job in the world. I hope to walk confidently, but yet, humbly as I keep moving forward in my career. It is super important to me that the people I surround myself with are equally committed to the job at hand. It has been a TRUE honor to call my friends my business partners. When we say we are “in”, we are IN it.

Commitment. Loyalty. Honesty. Pride. Servanthood.

Sometimes you wonder what people think about you. How do they perceive you? Why did they pick you for the job? One can guess and probably come up with some good reasons. But why not just go ‘straight to the horses mouth’ as they would say here in Texas 🙂

Tricia has been what I like to call a “Full Circle” Client. She had participated in a fundraiser I did for my friend who passed away with Pancreatic Cancer in 2009. I then shot her engagements, save the date video, bridals wedding day photography , wedding day film,  and also used POPography’s DJ Matt P and our hair and makeup artist Sonia Sierra. Now as she moves forward in her walk of life I know she will think of me as her family grows. Our photography experience created a realationship. That is so special! I love her family. I am invested in their future. THIS is my real job. Investing in peoples lives.

Tricia agreed to sit down for a few moments and share her testimony. The questions were asked and she answered honestly. I cried the entire time she spoke. It started to really sink in that it doesn’t matter when my exposure was off. It wasn’t that big of a deal when I framed the photo funny. It was about the relationships we were connecting with. The photos are merely a reflection of that. I’m getting all teary eyed just writing this. Thank you to everyone who allows me to be crazy me and spend time capturing your lives. I am blessed.
