It was a gorgeous day in Brooklyn, NY. Andrea and John came down from Boston to celebrate in high style. Andrea would soon be taking one of the world’s best last names- Sharkey! With a name as cool as that, you can bet that everyone is going to have a little fun. John and Andrea have a great sense of humor and an even better sense of style. They were surrounded by some of their closest friends and the sweetest family. The Liberty Warehouse is a gorgeous place with scenic views of the Hudson River, Jersey City and the Statue of Liberty. The warehouse has the modern exposed brick mixed with elegant finishings. The girls had the best time getting ready together, dancing and enough tears to fill a small jar. Across town, John and the guys were preparing for the big day at the very artistic, Indigo Hotel. The guys crowded together in the bathroom to help tie each other’s bow ties. I guess its hard to put on your own? HA! Jeff was super stoked that he remembered to wear his shark themed blue socks. He was surprised when the groom and groomsmen had the same socks on! Genius! The ceremony was beautiful, sentimental and a family affair. The decor for the reception was absolutely jaw dropping. The strung lights, pinpoint lighting on the centerpieces and uplighting really gave the warehouse an upscale party vibe. The dance floor was never empty and the band kept everyone moving and grooving. The night would not be complete without a midnight snack! Andrea and John surprised everyone with a food truck by Pizza Luca! Delicious brick oven pizza was being served up hot and fresh! What a fun way to end the evening.
And it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t bring something shark themed to celebrate the Sharkey’s! It was only the right thing to do! Congrats Andrea and John on what will be the greatest adventure of your life. What an amazing day and celebration of your union and we are so honored we were able to be a part of it all. Cheers to you!
