Live Present.

Chaos, confusion, challenges sometimes lead to worry, doubt and depression. Life got very overwhelming for me a few months ago and I had to come to terms that I don’t have to live a life filled with chaos and worry!

How does one deal with this fast paced life? Here are few things I have implemented in my life that have REALLY changed me for the better. I wanted to LIVE and not just get through my days.

  • Live Present“Give yourself fully to the adventure of today. Walk boldly along the path of Life, relying on your ever-present Companion. You have every reason to be confident, because My Presence accompanies you all the days of your life. Do not give in to your fear or worry, those robbers of abundant living. Trust Me enough to face problems as they come, rather than trying to anticipate them.” ~ Hebrews 12:2, Isaiah 41:13 from “Jesus Calling”

I like to look back on my past and reference to all the amazing miracles that have happened in my life. I am a living testimony to what God can do in someone’s life. I am ok with revisiting those times because I was saved it refuels me to tackle the future! I do have a severe problem with anxiety. I have been dealing with this for many years and quite frankly I am tired of WORRYING! I finally gave it to God about a month ago. My anxiety comes from trying to predict the future. Fully trusting in God was SO hard for me. I started reading the book “Jesus calling” and it changed me! I read the short passages every day and consciously decide to direct my every thought towards Him. Living present is challenging but comforting because I know Jesus is holding my hand through every decision.

  • Think-Say-Do“I am renewing your mind. When your thoughts flow freely, they tend to move toward problems. Your focus gets snagged on a given problem, circling round and round it in attempts to gain mastery. Seek my face, speak to Me, and I will light up your mind” Romans 12:2, Psalm 105:4 “Jesus Calling”

What you think is probably what you do and what you do is your life! Your thoughts become reality.Problems and situations seem smaller when you verbalize them. I am a lucky gal because I have an amazing husband and a fabulous girl friend. I noticed my anxiety usually starts in my head. It is important to counsel with people who know your journey and share the same values. I used to share everything with anyone thinking that varied options would help me make better choices…not so much. I now counsel with God first and very carefully choose who helps me in my life decisions! Telling someone helps hold me accountable to DO IT!

  • Peace in Presence“My peace is like a shaft of golden Light shining on you continuously. During days of bright sunshine, may blend in with your surroundings. On darker days, My Peace stands out in sharp contrast to your circumstances. See times of darkness as opportunities for My Light to shine in transcendent splendor. I am training you to practice Peace that overpowers darkness.” John 1:4-5 “Jesus Calling”

It wasn’t until recently that I experienced REAL peace. I have always had an underlying nervous feeling as I attempted to predict what was to come next in my life or even in the next hour! I hardly sit still enough to experience this so called ‘peace’. When I started to share my thoughts with God I started to experience His presence in my life. I smiled more…I worried less and I started to have PEACE! So long happiness and hello peace!! There is nothing like it. Happiness is temporary and based on circumstances. Peace is based on how close I am to Jesus. Are you living in his presence and living in true peace?

He is bigger than ALL my circumstances and has determined my path. That gives me great JOY and PEACE!
