Long Beach Island is a magical little place in New Jersey. You can see the ocean on one side of the road and the bay on the other side. The road is lined with family owned shops and restaurants. Many summers ago, Ashley and Chris met while working at Meltdown in LBI. It was so fun to go back to the place they met and hear the stories of old. In the summers, LBI is a fantastic place to be. The shops are filled with summer vacationers and the beaches are full of people enjoying the sun of the summer. We met up with Ashley and Chris in October when its almost like a ghost town. Some of the shops stay open, while others close their doors until next year. Chris’ family owns several properties on Long Beach Island that vacationers and summer seekers come for in the summers. This was a huge advantage because he had properties on both the beach side and the bay side that we were able to access. Amazing- thank you Chris for hooking that up for us!

After leaving Meltdown we headed towards the beach where Chris’ dad has ocean front property. We were super excited to meet Penny Lane, their super sweet pup! She was full of energy and super excited to hit the beach and drag her parents behind her. She did so good and really played into the camera! The weather was nice and overcast and the beaches were completely open. We didn’t have to dodge one person for photos 🙂 Ashley and Chris have such an easy going kind of love. The way they talk and love each other makes you feel like you’re watching a classic romantic movie. I can’t say enough how happy we are to have them in our lives. After getting the sand out of toes and dropping off the cutest dog in the world, we headed to the other side of the island to see the sunset over the bay. I mean, this really is the BEST of both worlds! The dock was overlooking wide open waters as the sun peeked through the clouds. It was so quiet and peaceful and a beautiful place to end our adventure with Ashley and Chris.
