Long Beach Island is the perfect place to get married! It has a small town vibe, little shops and you can see the shore on both sides of the road! Being a Texas girl, I really thought that it was amazing how skinny the island was. The fact that I could see the ocean on both sides of me was mind blowing! The houses lined the road in every color under the rainbow while bikes crossed the streets with vacation goers. The sky was the bluest I have seen and it was a perfect day for a wedding. Kristie and Kyle are seriously adorable and their love is so fun to witness. We are so excited to watch their love story unfold.
Kristie was getting ready with her girls a few blocks from the beach. When we arrived hair and make up was in full swing and all the girls were in the cutest robes preparing for the day. Kristie had got the girls gift bags that would unveil some of my favorite things! These were the best gift bags I have ever seen. I almost wanted to stand in as an honorary bridesmaid! HA! Any bag with Kate Spade and Tory Burch is a bag I want! Watching Kristie’s mom and all of the girls get her ready to walk down the aisle was so sweet. So much love and so much beauty in one room. We were searching and searching for an epic place to shoot the wedding dress. This is always something we love to highlight and tell a larger story with. Nothing was really working for us until I looked across the way and saw a beautiful vacation home. Immediately I told Jeff I wanted to shoot the dress off the side of this home. He looked at me like I had 5 heads and said he noticed a family just unpacking for their vacation and it might not be a good time. Wrong answer! Everyone knows I’m going to at least try. We walked across the street and knocked on the door to find teenagers that said they would go get their parents. A lovely lady full of “we are on vacation” excitement said, “Come on in! You can do anything you want! How cool”! I’m telling you people, you can pretty much do anything when you have a wedding gown. 🙂 It was a success and I’m very pleased with our efforts and crashing someones vacation! The bride and bridesmaids may have been watching from the window scared out of their minds that we might drop the dress into the swimming pool below. Just maybe 🙂
The first look was on the crowded beach right outside of The Sand Bar. Kyle was looking extra handsome in his suit and Ray Bans and Kristie was glowing all while having hundreds of people witness them seeing each other for the first time. It was amazing. We then ran around LBI and dropped by Fantasyland Amusement Park and the Mini Golf. That was a first for us and it was too much fun! Blue skies and white crest waves were the backdrop to a gorgeous beach wedding. The trolley took everyone to The Stateroom where the reception would be held. What a gorgeous venue and we loved the beach theme. Seashells, starfish and an amazing sand castle cake by Carlo’s Bakery! Gorgeous! I think everyone would agree that the highlight of this reception was the dancing. Kyle had to be the best dancer that was there. He’s got skills and danced the soles off of his shoes. By far my favorite part was the spin the bottle dance circle. A beer bottle was placed in the center and if it landed on you- YOU DANCE. It was awesome!
What a beautiful day and beautiful couple. We are so happy for Kristie and Kyle and can’t wait to watch your future unfold!
xx
