It was that dreaded moment when you realize you have to walk to your bride and groom’s suite to tell them goodbye. Destination weddings are so great for so many reasons. The fact that someone loves and trusts you enough to fly you across the country for their wedding is enough in itself! On top of that, you get to spend the days before and sometimes after with the family and wedding party. We immediately fell in love with everyone and honestly wanted to delay going home! We packed our bags and made our way to their suite to say our goodbyes. I think we all hugged at least 5 times…haha! We were asking for great places to shoot an engagement in San Diego later that day. Mindy recommended Coronado for its cute shops and great beaches. It just so happened to be the place they got engaged and would be honeymooning! That gave me a GRAND idea! Let’s shoot a post wedding mini session! They just thought they were getting rid of me! Nope! So very last minute we planned a time to meet up after lunch and spend one last time together. We laughed, I think I almost cried, and then we said our final goodbyes on the sandy beaches of Coronado. I’m not going to lie- I feel so connected to this couple. They are our forever friends…and we can’t wait to see them again.
