Park Savoy Fall Wedding :: Dina + Mike

When I first met Dina and Mike, I fell in love with them. They are spontaneous, gorgeous and kept me laughing for hours. As soon as I turned the corner to the bridal suite at Park Savoy, I could hear Dina’s sweet New York accent calling my name. The room was full of hair and makeup artists bustling around helping with finishing touches before the day got underway. Dina was in the makeup chair surrounded by her favorites. There was never a quiet moment and the music playlist was always on point. Every once in a while, everything would come to a complete halt and the entire room would burst out in full song. These girls were beautiful and fabulous and I had the best time with them throughout the day. Each girl bought and strutted their perfect black dress. Their style was impeccable and really added to the luxury look and feel of the wedding day. Speaking of dresses…holy gorgeousness!! Dina slipped into her fit and flare dress and the entire room gasped for air. It was incredible. She opted for a lace bolero for the ceremony and switched to a sparkly belt for the reception. One of our favorite moments was definitely when Dina’s father came to see her before her first look. He rounded the corner and tears filled his eyes as Dina called out, “Daddy”. Not a dry eye on this photographer. Gah!! On the other side of the estate, Mike was spending time with his guys in the basement. This isn’t a typical dark basement. Loaded with a full bar, television, club chairs and a smoking lounge, this basement was baller! Mike’s father is a cigar connoisseur and was super excited to have a smoke with all the guys. Shots were passed around and the first toasts of the day began. It was finally time for Dina and Mike to see each other for the first time on their wedding day.

Although it was November and still technically Fall, the weather didn’t want to cooperate. It was brisk, cold and big gusts of wind. So, we decided to have them do their first look on the stairs at the front entrance. On either side of the stairs were both sets of parents and all of their closest friends. Tears were flowing and sweet sighs could be heard as she made her way down the stairs to Mike. It was pure magic. Everyone pulled themselves together and we headed outdoors to brave the cold and enjoy the gorgeous gardens. After 15 minutes, I’m pretty sure we were all numb and things just started flowing. Dina couldn’t be more gorgeous and Mike was so handsome. After enjoying some time together outside, we brought the happy couple in to warm up and prepare for their ceremony. Dina was upstairs in the suite having sing-a-long dance parties while the boys took a quick cigar break. Their ceremony was lit with golden chandeliers that set the tone for a romantic exchange and celebration. Everyone was so excited to see these two finally tie the knot. It was now time to officially start celebrating with an extended cocktail hour that would blow anyone’s mind! The reception was classic with incredible florals, a chic cake and a DJ that kept you singing at the top of your lungs. It was a party. A very cool, unforgettable party. The dancing was unmatched, the people were unfiltered and the music was on point. Not all wedding receptions go down like this, but this one did. There was even a point in the reception where the entire dance floor did the Mannequin Challenge!! We were having the BEST time. After an incredible Viennese Hour (Dessert Hour), the party hit a new epic level of dancing and singing. And we were shocked and awed when they played “I’ve had the time of my life” from Dirty Dancing. Dina acted out the entire song. She knew all the words, the moves, and her friends joined her. I felt like I was in the movie!!!!!!!!!! It was crazy awesome! What a way to end a perfect day.

Dina. Mike. Wow, we just love you both to pieces. Thank you for inviting us into your wedding day and now into your marriage! Your families are incredible and you surround yourself with amazing people. What a DAY! And now we look forward to seeing your life unfold together as husband and wife. (Let’s not forget to mention our love for Penelope!) Congrats to you and yours!
