Adventure is out there! One of our favorite quotes from the infamous movie, “Up”.

Tina and Stephen are extreme adventurers and their wedding in Sea Bright, New Jersey was a tribute to all the places they have been and all of the places they want to go! We first met these two lovelies in Red Bank for their engagement. It was here that we learned that Tina and Stephen loved their red Jeep and this is where their adventures usually started. Fishing, traveling and anything outdoors will make this couple happy. It was only appropriate that we not only shoot by the water overlooking the beautiful yachts, but it was also wildly appropriate that we shoot in and on the Jeep! The places these two have lived and visited, one could only dream of! An adventure themed wedding with airplanes and maps was the perfect way to celebrate their next greatest adventure- marriage.

Tina was looking beautiful when we arrived at the house she grew up in. Her parent’s home was lovely and full of gorgeous natural light. It was very apparent what team this family was routing for when we turned the corner- The Giants! Tina’s dad even told us that he would be switching things up for the reception and throwing on his own Giants bow tie! The memorabilia was so fun to incorporate into the photos and we loved their excitement for their favorite football team. Everyone was gathered around the kitchen table laughing and enjoying the day as hair and makeup was under way. Tina and Stephen share a great love for ice tea and it was only right that she would be drinking and extra tall Dunkin’ Donuts Tea 🙂 We love shooting in the homes of our brides and grooms. We always get a little peek into how they grew up and its always fun to see the photos of them growing up. Tina’s mom left no wall or shelf untouched- they all showed Tina through the years and they were awesome! One of our favorite moments was when she came down the stairs that she once ran down as a little girl, but now as a bride. Her dad waited at the end to help her down for her final preparation before leaving to get married! The girls all pitched in helping with jewelry, fluffing the dress and foot numbing cream. Yes, you read that right, foot numbing cream! That was a first to me, but Tina swore by it! Us women will do just about anything to have beautiful shoes! The guys were getting ready near the shore at Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch. The guys were hanging out around the television enjoying some football. Stephen was looking dapper and sporting his Lego cufflinks. This was a small tribute to the first date to see the Lego movie! So unique and so fun! Tina and the girls met the guys at the resort before heading to the ceremony space. They had a very special first look right outside with the ocean in the background. All of the family and wedding party were watching from inside, too! What a fabulous group of people they chose to stand with them. They were so fun and really did a great job fighting the chill of Fall!

The ceremony was candlelit and intimate. We especially loved that their world travel maps were unveiled by their moms during the ceremony. Towards the end of the of the nuptials, they unveiled their 3rd and new map that would have all of the adventure pins of the places they would see together as a married couple. The passport themed program was amazing! What a fun and creative way to let their guests know who was in the wedding and what the schedule was and still staying true to the adventure theme! Genius! The travel theme continued in the reception with table place cards. Each table was marked with a location that Tina or Stephen had adventured to. The locations were from all around the world and the story cards really gave you a glimpse of what their life looked like at the time they lived at that location. Such a GREAT idea. The cake was extra fun with a Lego Jeep adorning the top in the perfect color with a bride and groom in it! It’s hard to really appreciate this craftsmanship on this Jeep through photos. It was spectacular in person! There were great speeches, dancing and a milkshake martini bar at the end of the evening. What a fabulous night and celebration. We are so excited to watch their lives grow together and see all of their travels ahead.
