• Engagement

It was a mild, but chilly day in the Meatpacking District of NYC when I met up at The Standard Hotel in Chelsea. This place was super chic and the drinks were absolutely delicious. Dina and Mike rounded the corner to meet me at the bar overlooking the ice skating rink and were absolutely adorable. Meeting face to face is always fun when you have been talking on the phone and online for what seems like forever. These two have great preference in drinks and style. It was fun to visit with them for a bit and talk about life as we know it. Being in the beauty industry, Dina was super worried her hair might not hold up through the shoot. I don’t think Dina wakes up and looks bad even if she tried! Gorgeous girl inside and out and she knows how to pick a great man. Mike wasn’t like most guys coming to an engagement shoot- he was excited to get in front of the camera. I dare say he thought he might upstage his gorgeous girl. I think we all knew that would never happen, but it was fun to joke about. Anyone and everyone who shoots with me hears me say “Close your eyes when you smell her hair”. The entire shoot Mike kept saying, “where do I look” and “where do I put my eyes”. HA! Jokester!

Chelsea is so cute with its cobblestone streets, bustling restaurants and of course The Highline. It’s such a great area to relax and have dinner with your favorites. The Highline at sunset is quite enchanting. Almost every angle has a beautiful view of a little piece of New York.  I absolutely had the BEST time and might have shot all the way into the dark of the day. The camera loved these two beautiful people and so did I. Congrats Dina and Mike on your engagement and we are so thrilled to be a part of this next chapter in your lives!
