What a way to start off the 2016 season! Dustin and Kim were married at David’s Country Inn and were set on having one hell of a fun wedding. I bet if you asked them to describe their relationship they would probably use some words such as silly, fun and jokesters. So, it was almost expected that there would be a dash of fun on their special day. Dustin and his friends were sporting their “Pimpin’ ain’t easy” socks that were definitely worth bonus points on wedding details. HA! Kim was about to meet Dustin for the first look when I asked her how she wanted to go about this. I knew they would want something untraditional and it didn’t surprise me at all when she said she wanted to sneak up on him with a giant butt grab. These two small details pretty much sum up the whole day- unexpected awesomeness! In between all the fun moments were quiet, sentimental moments that were absolutely breathtaking. Kim and Dustin are a class act and put together an exceptional wedding experience for their guests.
One of our favorite parts of the day was definitely their vows. It took us a few minutes to realize what was happening. Kim and Dustin wrote vows for the other person to read. So, Kim wrote the vows that Dustin would read as if he wrote them for her! This is exactly what I would expect from these two. It was a mix of surprise, fun and super personal. They sealed their love with a kiss and a high five. These two crazy kids were married!!! The night was filled with upbeat music, beautiful dances and tons of outrageous dance moves. Just the way it should be! The speeches were in full swing when Dustin’s best friend reminded him that several years ago during March Madness, Dustin had lost a bet. Because he lost the bet- he had to sing to Kim in public. I think Dustin would probably tell you that he has been putting this off for a good reason- his singing skills are not his strong point. All of a sudden, he grabbed the mic and Kim’s expression started going through phases of shock. When Kim figured out that Dustin was about to sing to her in front of all their family and friends, her face fell into her hands. Then she looked at Dustin with teary eyes…then a full on cry started. He pulled her to her feet and sang to her while they danced. I don’t think anyone remembers how Dustin sounded, but they do remember how sentimental it was. After that moment- the party never stopped.
Congrats you love birds! We love how you made your day completely unique to you. Your love is one of a kind and it was an honor to witness your marriage and tell your love story. Cheers guys!!
xx,
Leaha + Jeffrey
