It was over a year ago that I was invited to the home of Jessica and Curtis over at Southside on Lamar. They had just moved in together and were planning and plotting the perfect paint color for their space. A drink was in my hand and a smile on Jessica’s face. I think it was quite apparent that we all knew we were brought into each others lives for a reason. It was an immediate connection. I had fallen in love with this couple. And I still do each time I see them. I think we probably sat there for a good 3 hrs chatting the day away. I remember getting a text from my husband checking on me to make sure I was still alive! I could have sat there for ages!

The team and myself finally arrived late the evening before the wedding after a long car ride in traffic. We were taking our things to the room and saw someone walking down the road. We asked if he might know where all that noise is coming from across the way and if it might happen to be a wedding party. BAM! It was! We snuck around the back to find a porch full of folks. You would have thought we were Santa Claus!! They greeted us with open arms and warm smiles. Jessica and Curtis must have already told them about the crew because they knew exactly who we were. I darted for the house to look for Jessica because I really wanted to see her before she got her beauty sleep. In true Jessica form–she made me feel like I was the prize guest. Such a precious spirit! We hung out with the family and wedding party and then retreated for our own beauty sleep. What a GREAT start to this journey.

The wedding was at Bentwater Yacht Club on what was to be a perfect day. Billowing clouds and a slow breeze greeted us as we all got ready for the big day. Curtis hit the golf course with his buddies and Jessica joined the ladies at Paul Mitchell Salon. The backdrop to this day was absolutely gorgeous. Curtis and Jessica shared their vows overlooking the water and friends and family were glistened by the sun. Absolutely perfection. To our surprise, the wedding party started things off right with a round of Tequila shots directly after the ceremony. Wahoo!

Karaoke, Dancing, Toasting, Tears, Laughter, Celebrating….it was a night to remember.

Jess & Curtis- we love you both dearly. Thank you for allowing us to not only capture this amazing day in your lives, but for also sharing your precious family. Congrats you two!

PS: Curtis…you out-shined all men when you bought her a Mercedes as her gift. Way to go buddy 🙂
