Amanda absolutely adores Matt. And he cannot take his eyes off of her. They are a comfortable and casual kind of love—the kind that makes you want to always be around them. Amanda has mentioned several times how she has waited on this day since she was a little girl. All of her girls were at her parents home getting ready together. Amanda was surrounded by amazing women who were glad to set a day aside to celebrate with her. Everything was in order….the flowers were ready …..the dress was steamed and pressed….it was looking to be the perfect day for a wedding. In true Louisiana style–it was HOT & HUMID. I think we set a record on how fast we could shoot a portrait session!
Matt was getting ready with his boys at his childhood home as well. The guys would be taking a limo the church where they will wait on the ladies. The ladies came over in a fancy party bus. I remember watching Amanda’s face as we loaded the bus and headed out. There were so many thoughts and emotions running through her mind. I could tell she was soaking it all in for all that it was worth. It was a 30 minute hike to the church. As we saw the top of the church start to appear in the distance there was a great cheer and singing “Going to the Chapel and we’re gonna get married”. Amanda’s eyes filled with tears as we pulled into the church parking lot. There were hundreds of people there to support her on the first day of her new life with Matt.
It was a beautiful day, ceremony and celebration. We are extremely honored that we were able to share in their special day.
Congrats you two!
