• Belly To Baby

Butterflies + Purple + a little bit of Rockstar! This was a precious little session. Laila was the sweetest and sleepiest baby I have had the pleasure of working with. For this session, we came to the family’s lovely home. They just happened to have an amazing picture window with gorgeous light! My mom came along to assist me. She’s like a baby whisperer. She knows how to cuddle and snuggle with the babies to keep the comfy while I quickly set up scenes and props. It’s like a 3 ring circus for newborn sessions. They are very lengthy and you must be on alert the entire time for the safety of the baby. Typically I excuse the mom and dad to a nice hot shower or to rest up while we take the baby. The babies seem to be more relaxed and so do the parents 🙂 There is always a sense of relief in the parents face when we ask them to go get some rest and we will take good care of the baby! I don’t blame them one bit. We shoot newborns somewhere between 6-8 days and this is about the time the parents hit pure exhaustion!

Laila was such a joy. No messes and loved having her photo taken. We had so much fun and thank you to the family for entrusting us with your sweet girl and inviting us into your home. She is perfect in every way!
