GAH, this is the 3rd time in my career that I have shot with horses, and let me tell you- it’s MAGIC. But first, let’s start at the beginning! Leanna and Mike are newly engaged and absolutely darling! She’s your typical type-A girl with incredible energy and Mike is padding the walls she bounces off of. (Sounds super duper familiar!) They say you attract what you are! 😀
But seriously, these two were so easy to work with. New to the camera as a couple, there might have been some jitters, but we all soon hit it off after meeting up at Pennings Farm in Warwick, New York. It was a quiet weekday, so we had the place all to ourselves! It was the perfect weather condition for Fall- which wasn’t the case for so many sessions, so, YAY!
We then took a hike Upstate New York to a little farm town where Leanna goes weekly to ride and detox from the chaos of life. As soon as we got out of the car, her face lit up and you could tell this was her safe place. Rolling hills, mountain views, green pastures, long winding roads, and sunsets for days. It was so dreamy. Huge thank you to Isabelle who helped us wrangle the horses with all her tricks and sounds! Turns out that horses love the sounds of my shutter!! I got lots of nose kisses and snuggles.
It’s like we ordered the best couple, the best weather, the best view, and incredible horses, and literally were so blessed with how it all turned out. Hooray! Congrats you two and thank you for sharing some of your heart with us and for the great adventure! Cheers to your engagement!
