Collaborating was one of the most fun things I have ever done! The industry is full of amazing vendors that are ran by even more amazing people. It is really important to me to be in touch with people in my field. Everyone has something to give and share and being a part of local communities to support each other is something I think we should all be doing more. Together I collaborated with a close photographer friend and some other local Texas vendors to pull off this gorgeous shoot in a little town called Sunset.

It was a HOT Texas day and everything was in order. All of the vendors were prepared, rain was on hold and it looked to be the start of something beautiful! We made our way with all the props and flowers to the endless fields of Sunset, Tx. My amazing dad let me borrow the Denali truck and we packed it full of awesomeness. Brooklyn was already set up with hair and make up as we arrived and the gorgeous antique dresser was sitting on the lawn waiting on us. We were fighting the sun and watching it fall on the tall grassy fields as we rushed to set up the scenes. We jumped in the truck and made our way out into the field…and then it happened. Yep! We were stuck in the mud. No one mentioned it was a mud farm. Oops! And when I say stuck…I mean the entire left side tires were under the soil. We called the helpful neighbor to come pull us to safety. There was a slight panic in my voice as I called to check on the timing of hair and make up, but we made it happen! The last portion of the shoot was dedicated to Brooklyn’s gorgeous horse, Gus. He was a wild one at first running through the fields trying to keep a safe distance from all of us. Brooklyn was running around trying to get his attention as she wore her big white tutu. 🙂 It was not certain we would ever catch this wild one. But, once again…with a stroke of luck and a lot of love he allowed us to put his bridal on and start shooting. I have never seen a horse stand so still and be so beautiful. You could see the love and relationship he had with Brooklyn. Gah, it was really amazing!! We were jumping for joy when the session came to an end. Richard, Jessica and myself all knew that this was something special. It was a team effort and I am thrilled with the end result.

I encourage you ALL to reach out in your local communities and support amazing talent! I greatly appreciate all of the fantastic vendors who made this session possible. And an even bigger thank you to our gorgeous model, Brooklyn. Gus, our beautiful white horse, really came through! So photogenic! Richard with Rrepurpose went above and beyond. Hauling truck loads of stuff all the way from Dallas, setting up and tearing down, catching behind the scenes video and assisting like there was no tomorrow. You’re a champion. Your rummaging and shopping for this session was priceless to us! We appreciate everything you did for this shoot. Jessica, with Jessica Rambo Photography, provided some of the gorgeous detail props that really add that special touch. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this with you. And to all of the other gracious vendors–you’re work just made this AMAZING!! Thank you.
