Fordham University Campus Engagement :: Alyssa + Matt

These two college sweethearts were kind enough to give me the grand tour of their Alma Mater, Fordham University. Nestled in the Bronx, this campus was full of perfectly kept green spaces and sky high gothic building housing the students hanging around for the long holiday weekend. Alyssa and Matt graduated from Fordham 5 years ago and this was the first time they revisited the campus since taking on the world as professionals. Alyssa gave campus tours which set me up perfectly to learn all about this fabulous campus. Matt was an RA in the dorms and was loaded with great stories. The greatest story of them all was the story of the day that met exactly 5 years ago that holiday weekend. It was a bit of happenstance and perfect timing that brought these two together in the hallway of the dorms in the middle of the night. In the coming days they would spend as much time together as possible and become the best of friends. Years passed and everyone could see their love blossoming, but they were both in denial. But finally- love conquers all. They admitted their love and the rest is history!

We roamed the streets around the campus where their weekends were spent. Restaurants, crowded bars, and business lined streets. They reminisced about the good ole days and we made our way back to campus. It really is such a gorgeous campus and reminded me very quickly how old I have gotten! Students chilling on the lawn while enjoying the weather with their whole future still ahead. Oh….the days!

I loved seeing your love, Matt and Alyssa! You’re so genuine and kind, just like your love!
